Through the treatment of maxillary sinus lift with bone grafts, we can place sufficiently long and wide implants that can withstand the chewing forces from dental implants.
Maxillary sinus lift with bone grafts for the placement of dental implants is a complex procedure performed by specialist surgeons in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Dental and Maxillofacial Unit at Quirónsalud Hospital in Torrevieja.
Our team of implant surgeons has extensive experience with these cases and is also prepared to handle potential complications from maxillary sinus lifts.
Our specialists have worked on thousands of cases, all of which are very different. At the Marta Vallés clinic, we adapt to each patient.
By using a panoramic image of the teeth and, if necessary, a dental CT scan, we can determine if the patient needs a bone graft and maxillary sinus lift before the placement of dental implants.
We perform bone regeneration, sinus lift, and the placement of dental implants immediately, depending on the availability of bone. If it is not possible to place dental implants on the same day as the sinus lift, we need to wait approximately six months after the sinus lift for the bone to consolidate before the dental implants can be inserted. This surgery is performed in the dental chair with local anesthesia or conscious sedation.
During the same session after the operation, we can place temporary crowns that allow the patient to chew and will be worn for a period until the permanent crowns are placed.
Six months after the surgery, the new bone will be consolidated, and the dental implants will be securely anchored. At this point, we place the permanent crowns.
We schedule regular check-ups each year to ensure proper maintenance of the prosthetics and dental implants.
